Bible translation company Wycliffe says its print-on-demand system enables translators “to work discreetly in areas where Christians are the targets of intense persecution”.

Wycliffe says its system, which it has deployed in 26 countries, enables Bibles to be printed “in small or large quantities on a system that is easily moved from one location to another”.

“Imagine how frustrating it would be to finally receive the tools, technology, and training to translate the Scriptures and then not be able to print Bibles. Printing Bibles is the final link in the chain of love,” commented Wycliffe President and CEO Bruce Smith.

The company says it has over 800 Bible-translation projects underway and is currently fundraising to install more printers.
